The steel bones give a solid, structured cinch without digging in, and the 2-3" reduction is exactly as described. Wore it over a slip dress for dinner and it stayed put all night.

I was worried the satin lacing would slip during the day, but it stayed put and cinched me in a solid 3 inches. Wore it under a dress for a wedding and forgot it was there until dinner.

The steel boning actually holds its shape instead of folding over like cheaper corsets I've tried, and the satin lacing stays tied all evening. The 2-3" cinch is no joke though, so give yourself a few wears to break in the rayon ribbon.
