The ribbon lacing takes a few extra minutes to tighten, but once it's done the corset stays put all evening. The boning is sturdy without feeling stiff, and the shape it gives is exactly what I hoped for.
I was worried the boning would dig in after a few hours, but it stays surprisingly comfortable through a whole evening. The ribbon lacing detail is what sold me, it looks so much richer in person than in the photos.
The ribbon lacing takes a few extra minutes to tighten but it's worth it, the waist cinch feels way more even than my old zip-up. Wore it under a dress for six hours and never needed to readjust once.
